Christophe Dumaux, Alain Buet, Ottavio Dantone rehearsed a day before the performance in the Nowa Huta Cultural Centre (NCK).

Maria Grazia Schiavo is already in Krakow. She will perform tomorrow as Almirena in the concert version of the opera Rinaldo. The performance starts at 8 pm in the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre.

“Krakow has become the capital of music. Next to an array of outstanding events (Misteria Paschalia, Sacrum Profanum, the Festival of Polish Music) it added another one at a truly European level. This is the Opera Rara presenting Baroque music,” as we read in today’s Rzeczpospolita. In the summary of the year the Opera Rara series, which was inaugurated this year, was recognized as the delight and festival debut of the year.

Polityka’s journalists have summed up the year 2009. Out of the top ten musical events of 2009 in the classical music category three festivals organised by the Krakow Festival Office: the Opera Rara, Misteria Paschalia and Sacrum Profanum were mentioned on the first position.

All tickets to the last performance of the Opera Rara series, the concert version of Rinaldo, have been sold out.
Standing tickets to Rinaldo will be available in a limited number for PLN 50 on Friday, an hour before the performance starts (from 7 pm) from the cashier’s office of the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre.
