Tickets for third part of the Opera Rara series, the concert version of Agrippina are already available at www.ticketonline.pl. Soon they will be available also at the Municipal Information Centre at ul. Św. Jana in Krakow.
In the first six months of 2010, the Opera Rara series will be dominated by the music of Antonio Vivaldi. We have just confirmed concert performances of the Red Priest’s two operas. In March, Krakow will for the first time see a performance by Jean-Christophe Spinosi and his phenomenal Ensemble Matheus, and a performance by Giovanni Antonini and Il Giardino Armonico will take place in May. Spectators may look forward to superb vocal fireworks as the French bring La fida ninfa, their last production recorded for Naïve, whereas the Italians are just about to record Ottone in villa for the Vivaldi Edition. Please wait patiently. We already are.
Sunday’s performance of “The Bourgeois Gentleman” from the Opera Rara series, will be broadcast on Polish Radio 2. During the break, we invite to a Jacek Hawryluk’s chat with Vincent Dumestre - co-producer of the performance (with director Benjamin Lazar and choreographer Cécile Roussat). The broadcast begins at 7:00 pm.
