In the first six months of 2010, the Opera Rara series will be dominated by the music of Antonio Vivaldi. We have just confirmed concert performances of the Red Priest’s two operas. In March, Krakow will for the first time see a performance by Jean-Christophe Spinosi and his phenomenal Ensemble Matheus, and a performance by Giovanni Antonini and Il Giardino Armonico will take place in May. Spectators may look forward to superb vocal fireworks as the French bring La fida ninfa, their last production recorded for Naïve, whereas the Italians are just about to record Ottone in villa for the Vivaldi Edition.
